4"24" bag  Jul 24, 2008
This great bag arrived from Hollywood CA to south Florida in 4 days in good condition. My daughter plans on using it in middle school for a bookbag. I don't think she will be able to fit 6 classes worth inside of it, but she'll figure it out. She plans on putting retro pins on it to make it "cool" - she is thrilled with it! That's all I can review on it at the moment since she hasn't lugged it to school yet.

it looks good, and it doesn't look like a computer bag, just a regular messenger bag so people wont know what your packing.

5Great, fun bag!  Jul 14, 2008
The Andrew Christian messenger bags are great. I ordered 2 different styles from the item page:

One is heavy weight, has 2 front pockets, one big cargo area with a small zippered pocket at the back of the inside and a nice long strap. The flap secures with Velcro. There are 2 water bottle pockets on the outsides of the bag... one on each side. I carry it every day back and forth to work. Super bag. My only problem with this one is that the button on one of the water bottle pockets ripped right off the first time I tried to unsnap it. And yes, I know how to work a snap button. :D This one is the "Star Eagle" design.

The second is much lighter weight, has a shorter (and very funky) strap. It has a front pocket with pen-holders, and one big cargo area with 2 dividers in the middle of the cargo area. The flap secures with a clip. My only gripe with this one is that I had to adjust the strap to the very ends to make it long enough to wear cross-body. Otherwise, this is also a very good bag. This one is the Khaki colored "Gothic Eagle" design.

I have to say, I have had more comments on these two bags than anything else I've ever carried. The designs are so unique and fun; everybody loves them! I gave these items a five-star rating due to the utter coolness of the bags.

Definitely check out the user images that have been uploaded, they will help you tell the difference between the 2 bag styles. Those pictures helped me immensely.

4Great bag!  Jul 07, 2008
Fantastic bag! Lots of pockets inside to hold stuff, and two front pockets under the main flap that are the perfect size for books! There's a little pocket inside one of the water-bottle spots that fits my cell phone perfectly--a great improvement on it floating around inside my other bag. :) It's a little bigger than I thought it would be, but that will make it better for this coming semester! The design on the front looks like it's not very durable (it looks like it might eventually start flaking off), and so I plan on avoiding doing anything to it that will result in me having to wash it. But overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. Not to mention it got lost on the way to me in the mail, and Andrew Christian--the company that makes it--was very helpful and had fast and friendly service. I'm already thinking about getting one of their other bags for a friend of mine for her birthday!

3Decent bag for the price  Jun 27, 2008
Be warned, don't expect the color of the bag to resemble what you see online. The khaki bag I ordered looked brownish in the pictures but its actual color was cream. I liked it anyways but just remember, what you see may not be what you get.

The bag itself is a bit smaller in size than typical nylon or business style messenger bags. Because of this and the material, it doesn't keep a perfectly rectangular shape either which made me a little conscious of it looking more like man-purse than a bag. Once you load it up though it looks fine.

Inside are two main compartments for storing your stuff. The pliable fabric allows it to easily accommodate my 15.4 inch laptop with neophrene case. Something which my larger messenger bag had trouble with. You can fit about 2-4 heavy textbooks in it without a problem. It's designed however for light to medium loads and you will feel the tension on your neck/shoulder if you test its limits.

An outside pouch holds your smaller belongings. Mine didn't have zipper which makes me a little concerned that things might fall out but so far so good. If I could change one thing about this bag it would be the clasp that secures the bag. It takes a bit more effort to open than a button or velcro would.

Overall though this is a stylish bag that looks great when you carry it around. The strap is comfortable on the shoulders provided you don't stuff it full. A good bag for the money.
